TÜRKÇİMENTO Rewards the Winners in İTÜ Concrete Canoe Competition

TÜRKÇİMENTO provided a Gold Sponsorship to the ITU Concrete Canoe Competition held for the sixth time this year. In the Concrete Canoe Competition held at ITU Pond, Balıkesir University Concrete Canoe Team came first, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Karaoğlan Team came second, and Yozgat Bozok University Concrete Canoe Team came third this year. Its award was granted to Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Karaoğlan Team, which came second in the competition, by Elif Uzun, TÜRKÇİMENTO HR & Administrative Affairs Superintendent. 

Within the scope of the Concrete Canoe Competition, Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Engineering Preparation Club designs concrete canoes by ensuring that the engineering and architecture students put their theoretical knowledge on building materials, concrete, and structural design into practice. Then teams compete with those canoes.

The audience watching the competition in which the university students participated in the canoes, in which they creatively combined different building materials by means of using the binding power of cement by their own means, shared the excitement of the university students.
